Out on the Pier in Bali
After a seafood dinner on the beach
So when we told people we were moving to Indonesia they all asked, “Are you crazy?”
As you can see by the pictures it’s not all bad here!! Year round warm weather and beautiful beaches help a bit with the homesickness and cultural differences.
We still miss home, but there’s some real beauty here in this country that we’re only beginning to discover. Hopefully there will be more to come!

Believe me, during February in Missouri, NO ONE HERE would fault you for choosing to be there. Everyone is so tired of brown, muddy grass, dead-looking trees, cloudy skies and rain mixed with sleet. We’ve had a couple of good snows this season, but they never linger long enough and always leave behind just more muddy drear.
Fortunately (Or unfortunately, depending on how you look at it) we had our first 70-degree day here this past week, which served as a welcome respite from the cold. Of course, the downside there is that it’s made the yearning for Spring just that much worse. Ah, well.
Susanna saw me looking at the pictures and said, “Hey! That’s Sheralynn! Can SHE come to my [birthday] party? I miss her.”
